Derivan Matisse - Transparent Gesso - Medium 26

MM26 is a transparent acrylic primer designed to prepare surfaces like canvas, board, or paper for painting. Unlike pigmented gessoes, it’s clear-toned yet still creates a flexible ground with excellent “tooth,” helping paint and pastels adhere more effectively. It can be mixed with Matisse Background Colours to create coloured primers or pastel grounds tailored to your project,. If working on canvas it also tightens the weave for a firmer painting surface. This versatile primer is ideal for artists who want a neutral, textured base without the opacity of traditional white or coloured gesso.
